Ali Hinch is an illustrator and designer based in Toronto, Canada.

Her expertise lies in illustrating children's books, having worked on over 75 titles throughout her journey. Notably, she spent seven years as a staff illustrator at Inhabit Education, where she contributed to the development of educational children's books.

Ali's experience extends beyond illustrations. She made significant contributions to Taqqut Production's "Anaana's Tent" as an illustrator in Season 1. In Seasons 2 and 3, she took on the roles of creator, writer, and project manager for the animated segment "Nanuq and Nuka," which also became a series of books published by Inhabit Education. Her works for Inhabit Education have been featured in the popular "Little Storytime" segments of Anaana's Tent.

In addition to her creative endeavours, Ali is passionate about inspiring others. She developed a zine-making workshop for student-teachers as part of a college art foundations course. Developed with the intention that the students personally grow in their artistic confidence but also use arts as a tool in their classrooms to support the literacy curriculum. Since 2021, she has successfully conducted this workshop for multiple fourth-year cohorts.

When she's not immersed in drawing, Ali enjoys exploring her neighbourhood with her dog, Pepper, in search of new furry friends.
